The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really going ahead.
